GEOINT (Radar) Specialty Systems Engineer (Job Number:432222)

Description:

SAIC has new opportunities for Vehicle Engineers to work on an exciting, fast- paced program. This position will provide subject matter expertise to customers in remote sensing technology development, platform-specific subsystem development, advances in component miniaturization, and new concept development.

Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work as an Aerospace/GEOINT/Ground Architecture Systems Engineer as part of a world-class Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) team. Provide GEOINT ground architecture performance assessment to the vehicle requirements & integration team. Make recommendations on component selection and packaging for low-SWAP (Space, Weight, and Power) systems, designed for stressing environments
• Research state-of-the-art component technologies and system concepts/capabilities
• Evaluate concept designs and system integration strategies
• Author system level requirements and coordinate proper decomposition to lower level requirements Review development contractor’s documents and procedures, requirements flow-down, verification methodologies, calibration plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and test plans to ensure program success
• Review program for high risk areas and recommend mitigation approaches
• Conduct modeling and simulation exercises as needed
• Collaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forums Investigate innovative and emerging technologies to incorporate into analysis
• Refine and develop measures of effectiveness, improvements to system environments, and creation of new procedures to support all facets of testing and operations
• Conduct user outreach and research new concept designs to solve hard problems

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (engineering, physics, mathematics, Computer Science) and 1-3years of experience.
• Security Clearance - Must currently possess: Top Secret (TS)
• Candidates must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.
The successful applicant will work to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and technically challenging work.

Desired Education, Certifications, Skills, Expertise, Years of Experience:
- Prior experience in NRO Acquisition Office, Ground Engineering , Systems Engineering Directorates or equivalent IC environment
• GEOINT systems architecture
• ACEP
• SAFe
