Our client in the residential mortgage industry is searching for a Loan Officer. In this role you will prospect and convert leads for potential mortgage business using sales expertise. Prepare, analyze, and verify mortgage loan applications to purchase real estate or refinance existing mortgages. Must have an active NMLS license and currently doing loan originating.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Other duties may be assigned.  Meet with clients to discuss how products can benefit them.  Analyze needs of clients and prepare a product that best fits their individual needs.Meet regularly with Team Sales Manager to discuss production goals and pending issues.  Receives formal applications and assists clients with completing technical details of application.Gathers supporting documentation and reviews completed applications for accuracy.Requests credit report on applicants.Run DU/LP prior to disclosure to client.Make a minimum of 40 outbound dials a day.Follow up with leads in LMS per the prescribed contact frequency.Manage a pipeline of 20+ active loans.Analyzes completed file and compares to lending institution requirements.Attends Sales meetings as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES include the following:     Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent.Six months to one-year related experience in Sales, or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, construction, and non-conforming loans.Valid License and NMLS approval to conduct business in applicable state.Ability to read and interpret documents such instructions, and procedures.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to multi-task.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Ability to effectively use problem solving skills in standardized situations.Ability to organize information.Ability to write simple correspondence.
