GAF is looking for an Intern- Logistics/Supply Chain/Transportation for its Supply Chain organization to support supply and distribution of the wide array of GAF's manufactured products The ideal candidate for this internship role is a rising Sophmore or Junior, majoring in Engineering or Supply Chain, with a minimum GPA of 3.2 in their major and 2.8 overall.  We're looking for someone who is high-energy, driven, and committed to collaborating on a team that is all about process improvement and efficiency.  

The intern will perform functions in support of a number of projects including:

  • Working on projects with Management in Logistics/Supply Chain and Transportation (Manufacturing Plants and Corporate)
  • Define process gaps
  • Document processes and flow charts
  • Managing the focus improvement files on SharePoint
  • Assist in the S&OP (Sales and Operations Plan) development and upgrade
  • Assist in developing key performance and service metric reporting
  • Routine Analysis
  • Data  Validating and Systems Uploading
  • Participate in plant production scheduling
  • Assisting with other special projects in Logistics and Transportation, as required.
  • A presentation to senior management at the end of the internship will be expected


Strong Excel skills and Microsoft Windows Suite will be required, as well as an understanding of other technology platforms.  Problem solving, project management and communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team.

Required Education:  The successful candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2018 and May 2020.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship.

All GAF internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however, there are no benefits associated with these positions.  Candidates are expected to work 37.5 hours per week over the summer period.  We are targeting currently enrolled college students who will be staying in the NJ/NY metro area for the duration of the internship and be able to commute to our World Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. Housing, transportation, F-1 and HB-1 visa sponsorship will not be provided in association with these positions.
