The City of Grosse Pointe Woods is seeking to fill a full-position for the Information Technology Department. Under direction of the I.T. Manager, this position will be responsible for maintaining and future planning of the City’s computers, network, telephone, and information systems. Must be capable of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair; network design, VLAN, IP telephony, wireless technologies and their corresponding troubleshooting and repair; configuration and administration of Microsoft Active Directory and its components, and Microsoft Exchange components; administration of door locks and camera security systems as they pertain to Information Technology. Must have the ability to be flexible and work to meet deadlines with frequent interruptions. The candidate must also understand the importance of and exercise wire management and labeling skills to ensure a clean and organized infrastructure. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred and at least four years of experience in related Information Technology field is required. Salary is $50,000-60,000 DOQ, education, and experience. A background check, practical and drug tests are required.
