*The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a full-time Urology/Surgery Physician to join its practice in Staten Island!* *Position Description:* Initially, your duties include, but are not limited to the following: Working full time (1 FTE Clinical), providing Urology care at Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights. In collaboration with our multi-specialty team, the position offers an opportunity to grow our Urology practice with a diverse patient population in a large, busy multi-specialty practice. The practice is dedicated to the highest quality care and to promoting continued education in its staff while playing an integral role in Mount Sinai�s efforts to establish an outpatient hub in Brooklyn. The role is 100% outpatient with call to cover non-clinic hours. There are no research and administrative responsibilities, but physicians have the opportunity to be involved in PI and QA initiatives.� * Work with large multi-specialty team in the heart of Brooklyn Heights with an exceptional referral base and payer mix * Perform complex procedures using robotics, laparoscopy, and endoscopy as part of our extensive, minimally invasive urologic surgery program * Serve a diverse population and live in a neighborhood with excellent school districts and numerous cultural activities * Practice has a close affiliation with the Department of Urology and world-class tertiary/quaternary surgical care * Support staff: Medical/Administrative support and full service on site imaging * Call schedule: No hospital, possibility of tele call only * EMR system: Epic * 100 % outpatient * No administrative, teaching, or research responsibilities * Competitive salary and benefits offered including productivity bonuses, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, malpractice coverage, and CME stipends * Compensation range from 254,615K to 794,885K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits) These duties may be modified from time to time by your Chair/Chief/Director based on Institutional needs. *Specific Responsibilities:* 1. Reviewing with the Medical Director and Director of Operations, all individuals requesting a Hospital/School appointment in the Section of Urology at the Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights location.� 2. Work with the Medical Director and Director of Operations in monitoring the quality and appropriateness of Urology care at Mount Sinai Hospital when rendered by physicians with clinical privileges on the Service and Department of Urology training programs. 3. May recommend and assist the Medical Director or Director of Operations in the development of policies and procedures that encompass patient care, patient safety, etc. in compliance with accepted standards, regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the guidelines/rules of accrediting bodies for the Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights location. 4. Serve on Department Committees as assigned by the Medical Director or Director of Operations, setting agenda, organizing meetings, following up on recommendations and disseminating information. 5. Assist the Medical Director or Director of Operations to ensure that the quality and appropriateness of clinical care are monitored and evaluated and that appropriate action based on findings is taken when necessary. � 6. In concert with other members of the Department, participate in improving patient satisfaction through the Press Ganey initiatives and monitoring patient satisfaction reports and results. �Helps to develop plans by which the Department physicians can contribute to improvement of patient satisfaction with clinical services in all Mount Sinai�s health care facilities. *Mount Sinai Doctors Staten Island:* This multi-specialty practice is located at 1441 South Avenue in Staten Island, NY. Staten Island is the southernmost of New York City's 5 boroughs. It is connected to Lower Manhattan via the Staten Island Ferry, which runs across New York Harbor. With easy access to Brooklyn and Central New Jersey, Staten Island is a residential community, with many attractions for families, such as the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Zoo, Botanical Garden, and the Staten Island Children�s Museum. The large patient community typically stays on Staten Island for their routine care. Mount Sinai Doctors Staten Island offers comprehensive care where patients can see a variety of specialties. Additionally, the site has a comprehensive support team, including medical assistants.� *Position Description:�* * Serve a residential population and live in a neighborhood with great private and parochial school districts. Easy access to cultural activities on Staten Island and Manhattan * Percentage of outpatient vs. inpatient: 80% office and 20% hospital * Support staff: Medical assistants and anesthesiologist provides a RN during procedures * Call schedule example: 1 in 5 or 6 * EMR system: Not currently on EMR, but plan to implement Epic * No teaching, research, or administrative responsibilities * Competitive salary and benefits offered including productivity bonuses, 6 weeks of paid time off, medical, dental, vision, malpractice coverage, and CME stipends� * Compensation range from 417K to 496K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits) *Position Qualifications (Brooklyn and Staten Island):* ��� �Medical Degree from an Accredited University ��� �New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA ��� �Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology ��� �Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve ��� �Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills ��� �A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System ��� �Respectfully collaborate and build relationships with a diverse set of teammates ��� �Thrive in a constantly evolving environment, challenging the status quo and striving to innovate and improve care delivery *Salary Disclosure Information:* Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.�
