Senior Analyst, Contract Performance

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for reviewing proposals to gather operational requirements and making recommendations to Manager on proposal offerings related to operational guarantees. The Contract Performance Senior Analyst will also gather, monitor, and report on contractual guarantees for Navitus clients. Contract Performance Senior Analyst will collaborate with all functional areas to establish and maintain centralized guarantee data and provide corporate and client reporting information. An important aspect of this role includes the facilitation and coordination of communication with internal staff and external customers. The Contract Performance Senior Analyst will identify, report, and facilitate corrective action on missed guarantees. The incumbent will organize and coordinate activities necessary to comply with guarantee audits.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for Proposal and Contract Guarantees Recommendations and Reporting which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Analysis of contract requirements, obligations and risks and communicate recommendations based on analysis

  • Facilitation and collection of PG results from process owners and preparation of PG client reports on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Quarterly and annual PG reconciliations to determine penalty payouts, and related communications with account teams and clients

  • Research into PG failures encompassing communications with process owners, client, and account team, as necessary

  • Preparation of PG-related reporting for senior leadership

  • Gathers backup data, reports and documentation for accurate and timely preparation of client performance guarantee report packages as outlined in the service agreements

  • Communicates with other process areas to obtain documentation and data

  • Actively participates as a member of cross functional workgroups, teams, and committees, as assigned

  • Creates and/or manipulates queries to obtain data for PG audits

  • Formulates or modifies an audit strategy and plan, and related services to meet organizational and client needs

  • Assists the Manager with the development, implementation, and maintenance of performance guarantee data repositories and report writing programs

  • Utilizes planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills to effectively manage the assets, tools, and processes necessary to achieve business objectives and ensuring timely completion and reporting of results

  • Able to interpret contract language for the calculation of penalties for non-performance of service agreement requirements

  • Able to analyze historical performance data to assess and report potential risk analysis of non-standard or custom performance guarantees

  • Review of Request for Proposal (RFP) and service agreements for verification of performance guarantees language and financial implications

College degree or equivalent experience required in the field of business administration, contract management, health care administration or related field and/or a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.


  •  Hands-on experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage requirements, maintain deadlines on deliverables, and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contract performance issues.

  • Prior work experience in a contract management role, such as purchasing or contracting preferred

  • Experience in applying organizational standards when developing responses to requests for proposals

  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow.
