Job Description

A strong leader with solid industry background that pro-actively seeks out new markets and new opportunities to drive growth in the Military Aircraft/Vehicle and Commercial Aircraft Displays technology segments. This individual must be experienced in the identification of new opportunities, identifying technology related opportunities which grow the enterprise, engage in sales development, developing capture plans, formulating winning proposals and the management of key customers to secure new business.
  • Research and prepare market analysis with addressable market, segmentation by customer and by geographic region
  • Development of business and product strategies including defining the value proposition and product differentiation
  • Development of key markets and market opportunities once identified develop strategies to win
  • Development customer contacts and relationships at a working and senior level
  • Preparation of proposals to communicate the sales proposition and value of the Ducommun Technologies product and services
  • Opportunity financial analysis with NPV and ROI calculation
  • Coordinate with Program Management the preparation of proposal and execution of contracts
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape and competitors strategies
  • Development the technical visions and direction based on the market and customer strategic direction
Skills & Qualifications
  • Background in cockpit displays products, applications and systems, experience with LCD display systems
  • Experience with major displays primes: i.e. Honeywell, L3, Rockwell Collins, including Boeing, Sikorsky, etc.
  • Experience with major commercial operators: i.e. American Airlines, Delta, FedEx, Lufthansa, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in the development new applications that are complex in nature and require the utilization of resources across the entire organization
  • Financial knowledge and background in calculation of ROI, NPV
  • Program Management Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross functional teams
  • Utilization of market research tools and data bases
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or Business and 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, and experience
