Job Description

The will handle Environmental Health & Safety Manager all of the compliances with all Local, State and Federal Safety regulations duties. This position will report to the Director of Safety.  

Responsibilities

• Understanding all potential safety hazards present; take steps to reduce potential safety hazards.
• Develops and implements programs and policies for monitoring and preventing safety hazards at the facility.
• Maintains monitoring instrumentation and equipment implementation or recommends control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
• Develops and facilitates training for workers on issues related to health and safety.
• Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws, or reporting Requirements
• Develops, implements, and conducts employee training for safety and environmental regulations as directed by OSHA, the EPA, or other appropriate regulatory agencies
• Perform evaluations of existing and new processes to ensure all EHS requirements are being met and recommended improvements to eliminate, reduce, or control hazards.
• Participate in monthly corporate safety meeting and provide required information to the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Health, Chemical Engineering or any other related field
• 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in health and safety within a Chemicals Industry
• Has hands-on experience working in a manufacturing plant  
• Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
• Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
