Kelly Services, a global leader in staffing solutions, is seeking a Quality Technician II to work at an industry-leading Oil & Gas client in the Houston, TX area! This is a great opportunity to work for a well-known company in an exciting industry!
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Duration: 3 month contract with a chance for full time placement
Shift: 8am - 5pm
Under general supervision; provide inspection support for quality plans, incoming, in-process and final products; Determine product/process conformance and non-conformance; Document and communicate product and process non-conformances via effective dialog with shop employees, supervisors, customers and managers; Provide basic measurement support as assigned, using hand tools and specialized equipment/processes. Examples include: NDE, LDP, CMM, Optical Comparator, etc.; Use technical documents including blueprints and quality control plans; Support 3rd party and customer source inspectors as necessary; Collect and assemble quality data including Mill certs as required by customer contracts;
3-5 years manufacturing experience in metal fabrication processes including welding; Two year Vocational/Technical degree or equivalent preferred; Good written and oral communication skills; Familiarity with numbers, measures, fractions, basic math and control charting; Basic Computer Skills including Microsoft Word, J Edwards One World, Outlook and some Excel for data analysis; Solid understanding of welding symbols and Weld acceptance criteria.
