Apex Systems is recruiting a Application Support Analyst for our client here in the Pittsburgh area. The Application Support Analyst will join our Client's Production Services team to support some of the most critical responsibilities at at our client. To ensure these responsibilities are met, our production service team members need to exhibit ownership, accountability, and an eagerness to learn. As a member of the Production Services team, you will have a lead role in contributing to the success of a suite of applications supporting our client's Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Human Resources functions. Support includes incident, problem, and change management in the production environment and supporting ongoing development and testing environments. If you like learning how things work and fixing problems, you are going to love our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help improve application availability and reliability
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve service disruptions
  • Identify, define, and implement required monitoring and automation solutions
  • Create and maintain support documentation and procedures
  • Ability to deal with time sensitive issues in support of critical service level commitments

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial. 6-8  years of diverse experience in information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability being self-organized with a focus on accountability and ownership
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management, Incident, Problem, and Change
  • Experience setting up application monitoring for early issue detection
  • Linux / Windows system administration experience
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages - Python, Perl, bash, and/or Powershell, Java
  • Automated deployment experience using technology such as Ansible, GITLAB CI, or other
  • Experience with specific monitoring tools a plus – AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Moogsoft or related solutions
  • Java application support and development experience a plus
  • Experience with Airflow, Power BI, or Axiom a plus
