City of Somerville Somerville, MA Full-Time

Crossing Guards provide essential public safety by ensuring safe student crossing at intersections along the routes to school.

  • Uniforms and training provided
  • $19.83/per hour (2 hours each school day; 10 hours a week)
  • Morning shift 1 hour and 15 minutes
  • Afternoon shift 45 minutes
  • Annual perfect attendance bonus up to $300
  • $50 referral bonus for Somerville crossing guards who refer new hires to the City
  • Somerville, MA residents especially encouraged to apply!

Recommended Minimum Requirements:

Must complete and pass a CORI background check and physical 

Hours: Part-Time (not benefits eligible)
