Yes Duties and Responsibilities The Ji Lab at Loyola University Chicago ( LUC ) focuses on regenerative niches for the remodeling of injured lungs. LUC Medical Campus is widely recognized for its exceptional, innovative, and collaborative research environment, and is investing significant resources in expanding interdisciplinary research in the computational, genomic, cellular, and molecular bases of pulmonary diseases. The Ji Lab is dedicated to applying state-of-the-art computational strategies to identify new molecular endotypes, biomarkers, and microbiota of acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome ( ARDS ). The lab is located in the LUC Medical Campus, a suburban area of west Chicago, the third largest city in the USA . Three positions are available immediately ranked from Assistant Professor to postdoctoral research associate based on experience and expertise. The individuals will identify and implement computational solutions, stem cell biology, bioinformatics, and biostatistics to ARDS ( COVID -19) and sarcoidosis (lung cancer). They will be responsible for taking on highly interdisciplinary projects and key functions in this endeavor, including applying state-of-the-art techniques for basic and advanced analysis of both clinical and omics data. The ideal candidates will be highly motivated, well organized, manage time effectively, and can work independently as well as part of a team. Qualifications Required: Doctoral Degree (MD or PhD)
