POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overall leadership, coordination and communication of the purchasing process for the Circor distributed valve business. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with COM Ops, Manufacturing, Engineering and planning to identify customer shipment requirements and ensure availability of parts.

Principal Activities

• Support major Purchasing KPI’s like SOTD and Inventory
• Direct and monitor the timely management of all Purchase Orders (Includes purchase price accuracy and dates)
• Drive NMR’s actions are being addressed by the Buyers in timely manner
• Ensure assigned staff maintains on-time processing of orders
• Be responsible to drive metrics across function to support Key metrics
• Drive Root cause and corrective actions for Materials delays
• Managing and maintaining the Item Masters pertaining to Purchasing
• Assure the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership
• Monitors vendor performance and insures corrective actions are undertaken as necessary 
• Keeps purchasing systems/processes compliant and up to date for all Audits
• Finds ways to continuously lower the fixed and variable costs of purchasing through efficiency improvements 
• Support Supply Chain Manager/Commodity team in cost saving initiatives
• Support Month End Supply chain Financial Reporting

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university or college or experienced Purchasing professional
• Minimum 5 years of Purchasing experience utilizing an ERP system
