Senior Manager, Product Management

How will you make an impact?

This position within the Biosciences Division will be responsible for developing and implementing product strategies to accelerate the growth of the Imaging instrument business. Reporting to the Strategic Business Segment General Manager for the Cell Analysis Instrumentation (CAI) Business, the role will be leading a multi-million-dollar product portfolio with global responsibility, and supporting market analysis, portfolio prioritization and execution, SIOP and commercial strategies. Key success metrics of this position are revenue growth, portfolio profitability, product availability, customer allegiance score (CAS) and new product introductions.

What will you do?

  • Development and execution of a strategic growth plan for the portfolio.

  • Driving a coordinated and prioritized product development process across functions for this portfolio, from concept through to commercialization.

  • Partner with Commercial teams to successfully deliver the value propositions and go-to-market strategies.

  • Partner with Operations teams to efficiently coordinate supply and demand.

  • Lead, mentor & manage a team of product managers to complete the defined operating plans. Accomplishes people leadership objectives by training, assigning, scheduling, mentor and redirecting employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in life sciences, PhD preferred, MBA preferred

  • 8 or more years meaningful experience, including experience in life sciences or diagnostics marketing, product management, market research, or strategy consulting

  • Strong eye for business, customer focus, and a proven efficiency in marketing, product management or strategy.

  • A proven track record in market analysis, planning and new product development required.

  • Ability to take multiple sophisticated ideas and drive clear and concise vision and purpose.

  • Strong communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills. Cross-functional team leadership experience required.

  • People management experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to implement through others within a highly matrixed environment and cross-functional organization structure and with global reach.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Ability to successfully communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal audiences required.

  • Ability to build and analyze financial models to forecast and supervise results.

  • Creativity to listen without bias and distill customer requirements, understands driven strengths and weaknesses, and then develops compelling value propositions.

  • Ability to get results, build strong operating mechanism and KPIs.

The preferred location for this role is our Bothell, WA or Eugene, OR location.
