Ideally, the successful candidate should have experience in some or all of the following:

•        At least 5 years’ experience in software development, Support & maintenance in AS400 environment.

•        Experience in manufacturing sector is a must and should have strong work experience in ERP

•        Strong experience in BPCS, DB2, Green Screen, SQL, RPG LE

•        Must have hands on experience in AS/400 computer systems and operating environments

•        Should be a fast learner & have aptitude for learning new technologies & applications

•        Must have customer first attitude, strong problem solving, troubleshooting & analytical skills

•        Must have good verbal & written communication skills

•        Must have experience managing multiple stake holders

•        Should have exposure to working with service desk & cross functional teams

•        Should have an understanding on Software Development Lifecycle

•        Should be proactive & have high energy, passion and drive for success

 

JOB ABSTRACT

 

The Essentra application eco-system has grown and changed substantially both naturally through organic growth and through acquisition.  Primary ERP systems, such as BPCS, VISION & Fourth shift were deployed and rolled out across the world to support the growing manufacturing & distribution footprint of the company.  The usage of these and other associated platforms typically touch several key business areas including: Finance, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR, CRM and Business Intelligence. The various platforms continue to be enhanced & supported to meet ongoing business requirements and re-modelled/re-configured to adapt to new business models and processes. Equally a strong roadmap needs to be created to start to rationalize some of the sprawl of platforms.

 

This role is seen as a key and critical in stabilizing and managing Components division applications globally.

 

 

JOB PURPOSE:

 

 

This role is expected to develop, support, maintain & manage applications developed & deployed by Essentra Group Technology. Responsible for providing application support for divisional applications globally & serve as the first point of contact for any apps related escalations for the Erie site. Contributes to maintain agreed SLA with the business.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE FOR DECISION MAKING:

 

This role is responsible for:

 

- Provide support & perform operational level enhancements for Essentra Group Technology owned applications

- Proactive monitoring & maintenance of applications

- Ensure agreed SLAs are met for assigned Incidents & Service Requests

- Work with service desk & applications teams globally to support Components division applications

- Act as the first level of escalation for any Erie site level escalations related to applications

    - Assess priority of the requests and put a plan for delivering those requests in a timely manner

- Work with third party vendors for applications related IT services

- Take ownership of components related application activities / issues & work with cross functional teams for resolution

- Managing stakeholders & ensure regular communication on activity status & open issues

•        Issue resolution within SLA agreed with the business
