Perform all tasks associated with gas operations and direct the work for the crew in the performance of various tasks associated with operations. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and inspect gas work to ensure quality control, conformance to company standards, and compliance with written legal contracts.
• Fill out timesheets and check personal and vehicle safety equipment and operation of vehicle/equipment daily.
• Act as company representative and effectively communicate with customers, inspectors, and superintendents.
• Determine construction sequence, manner, and methods to be followed by reading prints, drawings, and service record cards.
• Direct the work of the crew in the performance of various tasks associated with operation and maintenance construction.
• Use a variety of tools and machines, such as power drills, grinders, saws, fusion equipment, and water spraying equipment.
• Run projects independently and evaluate individual abilities to perform covered tasks and recognize and react to abnormal operating conditions.
• Understand and comply with OSHA safety regulations.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED - Preferred
• Vocational training in a trade – Preferred

Experience:

• 1 year of experience in the inside and/or outside gas contracting sector – Preferred
• Skilled with various hand and power tools – Required
• Knowledge of gas lines.
• Competent operating excavators, backhoes, trenchers, etc.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid driver license and driving record in compliance with our policy.
• OQs Certification.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of how to use hand and power tools.
• Shoring installation knowledge.
• Ability to use company phone/tablet.
• Decision-making skills in emergency situations.
