Large food manufacturer is seeking a Director of Compensation and Benefits. Position will be located in the Springfield MO area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Functions as the subject matter expert for the development and execution of the compensation and benefits program and strategy.
  • Design, implement and manage the strategy, philosophy, programs, policies, and initiatives
  • Maintain and control cost, quality, service
  • Innovate and develop strategies to program design to enable employees to maximize value
  • Manage effectiveness of benefit plans, recommending changes which provide value to associates, are within or below budget and consistent with benefit trends and organizational objectives.
  • Manage North American compensation and benefits including all facilities and the corporate office.
  • Manage the administration of vendors and contracts for programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401k/retirement plans
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of plan documents that govern the operation of the health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Reports to the VP of Human Relations

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Human Relations, or similar discipline- MA/MS/MBA preferred
  • 10+ years managing large scale compensation and benefits programs
  • Expert knowledge of Benefits design, ERISA and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience with compensation structure design and FLSA.
  • Ability to consolidate and integrate multiple business units- some merger/acquisition experience would be helpful

Company will provide relocation package.
