Senior Business Analyst

CGI is currently seeking a Senior Budget Business Analyst to support the local account team with the client at the State of Maine. Under general guidance of an account lead, the Senior Analyst performs business process analysis, requirements analysis, functional support, re-design, testing and implementation of solutions for the account. This candidate will also be responsible for encouraging positive relationships with our client partners, internal CGI partners and local/global delivery teams
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Lead client budget implementations and ongoing improvements
• Lead and mentor a multifaceted group to establish a budget support team
• Support client to analyze budget business processes, understand processes, maintain or re-engineer processes, test solutions to client issues, deliver quality end product and support end users
• Attend and participate in meetings with senior client partners
• Conduct analysis on problems independently, research and recommend solutions, and execute resolution steps to address client issues
• Provide functional support for testing such as developing test scenarios and documentation and performing validation testing for core applications
• Provide functional support for new initiative implementation activities
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of experience in sophisticated software implementations
• 8+ years of experience with business analysis and implementing value-adding resolutions
• 6+ years of demonstrated ability in budget-related business domains and systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with ERP applications preferred
• Experience with CGI Advantage ERP strongly preferred
• Experience in state or local government is a nice to have
• Accounting system experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior level management and clients
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• An outstanding ability to prioritize and meet deliverables
• Ability to quickly pick up new concepts, tools, and ideas and adapt to changing environments
• Self-motivated and team-oriented professional
• Ability to work in a non-conventional environment with virtual teams spanning time zones across the US and India
• Ability to travel to client site as needed
Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $80K-$120*
