Answering calls from Kansans applying for Medicaid benefits. Once candidates submit application it goes to Clearinghouse. They will call to ask questions about the status of their application.
Will handle calls about questions on status, where applications stand, and any questions about approval and denial for all state of KS Medicaid.
First, contractors start with Application Status calls- quick phone calls; ave handle time= 5 mins. People calling in calling to know status of application, or the status of documentation they had to submit for documentation. 4-5 day training class to understand how to answer these questions.

Then move to answer calls for Family Medicaid (ave handle time= 71/2 mins) or Elderly and Disabled (ave handle time = 12 mins)

Communicate with customers and determine their needs, answer their queries, and solve their problems through precise correspondences. Use professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develop expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Act as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters. Complete any other requests assigned and maintain a database.
