As a Distribution Center/Warehouse Manager for Panduit's DeKalb, Illinois facility, you will effectively lead Central Warehouse supervisors and operations. Your have a proven record as an agent of change and continuous improvement will be essential to qualify for this role. This is a manager of managers and will typically have several supervisors or managers reporting to them.  As well, the size and complexity of our distribution centers require more focus on a flawless performance, including Key Performance Metrics

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the achievement of established Warehouse goals and Key Performance Metrics.  Responsible for overseeing the complete process of shipping, receiving, warehouse activities and all the site distributions channels inbound and outbound globally.  Will lead and manage overall warehouse team performance (manages the entire distribution center and is responsible for all areas within the distribution center, such as facilities, quality, and maintenance).
  • Utilizes Key Performance Metrics to lead continual improvement daily Global Supply Chain dashboards and alerts where required.
  • Effectively communicates with Customer Services, Quality, Purchasing and Logistics and other relevant parties (internal and external) to ensure what is being communicated.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of Lean solutions for efficient use of equipment and facilities in the warehouse, emphasis on waste reduction, preventative maintenance for warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Budget control. Develops department budget and maintain approved expense level with monthly reviews.

What you will bring:

  • Required Degree: University Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other related areas.
  • 6+ years of experience at management level (managing managers) in warehousing operations, including leadership experience, inventory management, logistics, imports/exports, project management, and overall supply chain experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant business experience
  • Experience leading change management efforts, building relationships, and effectively communicating.  Ability to build sustainable systems and processes, and obtain buy-in and endorsement from stakeholders and users.
  • Experience with P&L responsibility and interaction with senior business executives strongly desired. 
  • Ideally has mentored Lean Drivers, Green Belts and/or Black Belts on various projects.  Experienced and able to demonstrate successful results with multiple methodologies for continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, CAP, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Demonstrated business results from working independently on projects of medium to high technical complexity.
  • Strong experience with staff management and leadership within a matrix organization.  Highly effective leadership skills demonstrated across a variety of circumstances.
