In this exciting role you independently develop and guide the development of quantitative mechanism-based PK/PD models that will inform compound progression decisions from lead optimization to clinical proof of concept and beyond for the immuno-oncology, immunology and oncology pipelines, for large and small molecule drug entities. The selected candidate works in close partnership with Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Safety (Toxicology), Clinical Sciences, Biostatistics and Regulatory. As a member of project teams and sub-teams, you represent Quantitative Pharmacology and present analysis outcomes to cross-functional teams, at department meetings, project review committees, and conferences. The role contributes to the preparation and presentation of both internal and external documentation (e.g. Investigator’s Brochure, IND, CTD) and product strategy.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree minimum with 8+ years of experience, master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD (preferred) in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical/Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline
A minimum of 3+ years for the role of Principal Scientist in industry and/or academia. For the Associate Director position, a minimum of 7+ years of which 2+ years have been associated with managing and guiding M&S teams in support of projects
In-depth hands-on experience with modeling software (such as; GastroPlus, Simcyp, Phoenix/WinNonlin, NONMEM, MATLAB, R, etc)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate and summarize outcomes of modeling and simulation analyses into information that can be used by project teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to implement innovative strategies to problem solving and readily accepting and adaptive to change.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively depending on the needs of the project and the organization.
Publications in conference proceedings and peer-reviewed journals are encouraged
