Purchasing Supply Chain Assistant Bayport, MN
Global Corporation we are representing located in Bayport is currently hiring an Assistant to work in their Supply Chain division. This position is a Contract without an end date, Direct Hire for the right person.
This role will Assist Managers, Sourcing Specialists and Buyers in achieving goals of department. They will help prepare executive level reports and presentations, and fill in for supply chain functions, such as procurement, cycle counting , and other documentation control activities as-needed.
The right person could either be an entry level supply chain individual with strong confidence, or a more experienced administrative assistant that may want to expand their career into supply chain.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Administrative assistance and support to the Senior Buyers, Sourcing Specialist and Sourcing Managers.
Represent buyers to ensure timely and accurate information is obtained and communicated internally/externally.
Coordinate and schedule supply chain events, such as employee dialogue sessions, supply chain leadership meetings, anniversary recognitions.
Sit in and facilitate the agenda for weekly supply chain leadership meetings.
Assist supply chain managers with schedules and travel arrangements.
Maintain/update supplier quality documentation, supplier change and spec. revisions.
Background as a Purchasing Administrator, Assistant or Coordinator a plus.
Knowledge of planning/procurement systems, Entry Level Supply Chain or Purchasing nice to have. Someone with administrative assistance experience interested in Supply Chain would also be good fit.
Good Computer Skills- Ability to work with or learn SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access, etc.) (SAP, business warehouse would be nice to have).
Ability to work with numbers and maintain and accurate records.
Must have excellent phone/communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills a must.
Ability to describe problems in a clear and concise manner.
