Fraser Manufacturing Facility, an AAM Company, is currently looking for a co-op to work with the Engineering team. Opportunities will include:
- MasterCAM experience a plus
- Design simple tooling, holders, etc.
- Convert sketches into 2D AutoCad drawing
- Prepare request for quotations
- Learn PFEMA and prepare associated documents
- Enter requisitions, receive packages, sign packing slip
- Make observations on machining floor processes
- Calculate cycle time
- Organize observations for analysis, then analyze observations
- Draw conclusions based on observations
- Learn to run production machines for a better understanding on how they work and to understand what issues could cause production slow-downs
- Plan, schedule, and COMPLETE tasks - Self starter
- Ask questions/Accept answers
- Generate and give presentations on projects
- Work directly with operators, engineers and other team managers effectively
- Other Responsibilities and projects may be assigned as needed.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelors’ program with a core in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 18 credit hours taken per year
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
Ability to work and take classes simultaneously
Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy of information.
A proficiency in Microsoft Office in necessary including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to learn other software programs in the engineering world
Ability to take direction and learn from constructive criticism and learn from it
Ability to ask for help and direction when unsure of what is needed and expected of you
Strong communication and organization skills are a must
