Job Description Summary:

Assists the Operational Excellence Deployment leader in assessing, prioritizing and driving standardized, measurable process improvement, aligned with Option Care’s Business Transformation Operating Model.
Establishes and develops the concepts of Lean Continuous Improvement across the enterprise. Employs Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies and analytics to accomplish business objectives.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

Prioritizes and aligns specific Operational Excellence activities with business initiatives and priorities.  Analyzes top business issues, simplifies scope and incorporates organized activities into directly lead Kaizen and Black Belt projects supporting selected objectives and goals.

Assesses current business performance against Option Care's business strategy for a specific site and/or functional areas and drives improvements through project identification and completion.

Works with multiple teams of business practitioners to synthesize findings, develop improvement recommendations and lead execution of initiatives.

Leads business leaders towards a LEAN management system that uses repeatable and reproducible processes so that quality and cycle time problems can be easily identified.

Helps build, improve and instill discipline in the daily LEAN management system, so quality and cycle time problems can be captured and analyzed in all departments/ areas of Option Care.

Direct oversight for multiple kaizen project leads running simultaneous kaizen projects and Lean Specialist activities across the enterprise.

Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions that are innovative and consistent with organization objectives. May contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Fosters a Lean Culture of bringing people together to solve problems.

Trains employees in the concepts of continuous improvements and the Operational Excellence processes employed at Option Care.  Mentors and trains Kaizen Leaders and Lean Specialists.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 

Comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects using DMAIC methodolgy.

4+ years project focused experience in Healthcare Finance and Operations, preferred.

Previous Operations Management experience, preferred. 

Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects of large scope.

Proficient with using advanced tools in standard Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).

Basic Qualifications

Completes work independently, receives and provides general guidance on new projects and priorities.

Ability to lead teams, train and implement process improvement methodologies

Ability to build and promote organizational change management initiatives

Understanding of statistical methods commonplace to Lean Six Sigma, including basic, descriptive and confidence interval statistical methods

Travel Requirements:  (if required)

Up to 75% travel at certain periods of time

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

Advanced degree specializing in Supply chain, Quality Management, Logistics, packaging preferred

Direct working knowledge in healthcare, manufacturing, quality (preferred)
