Responsible for the development and implementation of highly technical applications and methodologies to assist sales and marketing professionals in developing strategic marketing tools to insure and enhance the company’s competitive posturing with respect to changing market conditions, increasing revenues, development of aggressive pricing models, and profit margins as well as the ability to customize products to meet the on-going needs of clients. Expertise utilized as a training and education resource in developing local and regional sales and marketing personnel.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Anticipate and develop short and long term growth potential of existing product lines and determine competitive strategies for maintenance and growth with existing and potential customers/clients.
Prepare, in conjunction with sales and marketing staff, annual marketing plans accompanied with aggressive but achievable sales forecasts for the various regional business units.
Differentiate Veolia from the competition by developing customized strategies and services for our existing and/or potential customers to curtail business opportunities from other companies in the hazardous waste industry.
Continuously gather, review, and analyze product line performance, customer attitudes, problems, and opportunities to enhance our current position and growth to develop a more productive and lasting partnership with customers/clients.
Maintain and update current proposed and pending changes in environmental regulations that may affect current or potential business opportunities.
Determine pricing strategies based on current client needs by using innovative solutions to retain clients preferably at higher prices than the going market levels.
Develop regional profitability criteria while maintaining and/or lowering operational cost controls.Be the lead person driving opportunities for all the capabilities of Veolia Gum Springs.
Be the expert in all the services Veolia Gum Springs can offer to include incineration, reuse, stabilization and subtitle C hazardous waste landfill.
Aggressively target large stabilization and landfill opportunities across North America using qualified data from the 2017 EPA Report and cross referenced by existing Veolia customers.Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience / Background
BS in Chemistry or related discipline with 5 to 8 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience preferred. Prior experience in Subtitle C Hazardous Waste Landfill sales or operations preferred.
Advanced degree highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge in environmental technologies and a minimum of 4 years in an analytical and problem-solving capacity.
