Registered Nurse - MDS Assessment Coordinator
gpac is a national search firm that specializes in working with healthcare organizations in various industries including hospitals, home care, skilled nursing facilities and medical practices. We have been retained by a senior living community with multiple locations in the Madison, WI area to search for an MDS (Minimum Data Set) Assessment Nurse Coordinator. This organization is a premier provider of Assisted Living and Memory Care. They meet seniors regardless of where they are in their life journey including providing Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation services.
Overview
The primary role of the MDS Assessment Nurse Coordinator will be to implement the state and federal guidelines related to the MDS process, complete the MDS process and ensure that all is current and implemented. You will be delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out your assigned duties. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Registered Nurse Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Wisconsin.
- Must have two years long-term care experience.
- Must possess an intimate knowledge of the MDS process.
- Must also have one year experience as an MDS Assessment Nurse or a Registered Nurse with MDS experience.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must be experienced in planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and interpreting programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 20 feet.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Location: Madison, WI. Onsite
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000
