J.P. Morgan Asset Management provides individuals, advisors and institutions with industry-leading strategies and expertise that span the full spectrum of asset classes through our global network of investment professionals.

The Business

The Customized Managed Account Solutions (CMAS) group provides its investment services via several distribution channels, including acting as investment adviser for SMA Programs offered through financial intermediaries. Overseeing client assets of $58 billion, CMAS manages the relationships with these financial intermediaries and designs investment strategies for clients in their Programs.

The Team

The Managed Accounts Middle Office team supports this business, performing these primary functions: (a) implementing equity trades for discretionary strategies, (b) ensuring the accuracy of investment data used within the portfolio implementation process, (c) delivering model portfolios to sponsoring intermediaries for non-discretionary strategies, and (d) working with internal partners to improve the scalability and efficiency of the business. While the team resides within the Operations organization, it is tightly integrated with the Front Office Portfolio Managers and Product Specialists.

The Role

The incumbent will perform such tasks as:

+ Trade discretionary Managed Accounts across a variety of investment strategies

+ Review client accounts for model drift and strategy deviation

+ Monitor and update models for non-discretionary platforms

+ Research and respond to specific account inquiries in a timely manner

+ Partner with the PM teams, client service and technology teams to resolve issues and improve scale and efficiency

+ Participate in the planning and development of new business processes

+ Support a culture of continuous improvement by defining, documenting and implementing process improvements

Skills and Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree (or better) from an accredited, high-quality institution

+ 2-3 years of relevant work experience

+ Ability to manage concurrent assignments effectively and efficiently

+ Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills

+ Team player and adaptable to a changing environment

+ Ability to influence people, lead discussions, and troubleshoot issues

+ Highly organized and able to work to tight deadlines

+ Ability to navigate a complex organization involving numerous groups and individuals, and provide timely responses to internal clients

+ Separately Managed Accounts experience a plus
