Payroll Customer Support

Reno, NV

Contract role 


-Provide awesome customer service at all times while assisting customers/accountants with their payroll setup, either by phone or back office data entry

-Manage pipeline of new accounts and ensure long-term customer/accountant success from the beginning of their product purchase through onboarding and first payroll

-Proactive communications with our customers/accountants and follow through with requests, feedback and questions via phone and e-mail

-Use mathematical problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques to get to the root of complex payroll issues and/or product questions

-Clear and concise case documentation in shared database

-Seize opportunities to offer customers additional products/services to support payroll compliance needs and benefits

-Engage in various projects to continually improve processes

-Collaborate closely with Sales, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive business results and solve customer/accountant payroll or accounting needs

Required Skills:

-In depth payroll experience required / Certified Professional Payroll (CPP) highly desired

-2+  years accounting, bookkeeping, financial or technical support

-2+ experience with an emphasis on providing excellent service is highly

-Excellent verbal, written business communication skills to inspire customer/accountant confidence via phone and email

-Strong computer and typing skills; comfort with web-based and desktop applications

-Ability to learn company products, techniques and processes quickly in a training environment and ability to transfer learning to work environment

-Passion for creative problem-solving

-Savvy time manager and multi-tasker with ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines within a high volume and fast paced environment

-Knack for listening to and empathizing with customers

-Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to determine from a complex set of variables how to resolve payroll issues

-QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop experience highly desired

-Desire to learn and understand the small business ecosystem and payroll

-Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

-High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree is preferred with accounting or computer background
