General Responsibilities
Provide technical service to customers in ruminant markets for NORAM region
Continue to develop the NOVUS C.O.W.S
program into an internationally recognized service that positions NOVUS as a leader in cow comfort
Provide technical insights into ruminant production and research
Provide internal training for territory sales managers, equipping them with tools and knowledge to understand and better sell all products and services, with emphasis on core solutions platform
Serve to blend research and technical message through frequent interaction with corporate R&D and marketing personnel.
•Deliver technical programs and services with customers to maximize commercial value for the customer and Novus.
•Support ruminant commercial efforts within the Americas, with a focus on utilizing and leveraging the C.O.W.S
program
Includes leading innovation, interaction with processors, large herds, key accounts, speaking engagements.
•Act as a key link between sales, marketing and R&D to successfully implement and validate our services in field at the customer level.
•Act as Subject Matter Expert on dairy animal care and welfare internally and externally on behlf of Novus.
•Increase awareness of Novus products and services to feed mill nutritionists, nutrition consultants, and university/extension people

•Represent Novus at industry meetings and symposia.
•Support in the creation of customer insights to drive cow comfort improvements and sales of NOVUS specialty products.
•Support the development of novel and innovative value added services for ruminant customers.
•Support developing dairy markets to build ruminant business where required, with a focus on value-added support.
•Align with marketing in the development of product positioning, review of technical information for use in the sales effort, and play an integral role in the marketing/sales customer interface.
•Develop technical programs that enhance the Novus image and technical credibility throughout region.
•Provide technical support to sales managers and customers and forward technical agenda, supporting the use and correct positioning of Novus products and services in region

•Train sales personnel in correct positioning and implementation of Novus products and services they deliver to our customers.
•Advise sales managers, analytical services, customer service, operations, marketing and other technical service staff worldwide.
•Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS) and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.

General Guidance for Key Knowledge/Skills/ Experience
•Master's degree or comparable training in Animal Science or related field and 4+ years of dairy production experience.
•Advanced knowledge of management, health and welfare of large ruminants in assigned geography.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including effective and engaging presentation and public speaking skills.
•Proven analytical and problem solving skills with rapid apprehension in responding to customer needs.
•Driven individual with initiative, capable of working independently and within a team.

Other Essential Requirements
•Fluent in English

•Spanish and/or French optional but beneficial.
