Job Description

Oversees the strategic planning and day to day operations of the business unit to achieve goals, objectives, and budget. Provide overall direction and guidance in the operational activities of franchise operations and its associates. This includes a primary emphasis on revenue growth, market expansion, marketing, legal and regulatory compliance, quality service delivery, and people development.

1. Provide proactive procedural assistance to franchisees in the pursuit of a maximizing growth and profitably growing the operations.
2. Act as a Consultant to promote and develop a spirit of cooperation and harmony between the franchisee and business partners.
3. Assist and hold franchises accountable in implementing the ServiceMaster AmeriSpec business system consistent with ServiceMaster AmeriSpec standard operating procedures.
4. Develop and implement a market expansion strategy to ensure effective market penetration of the ServiceMaster AmeriSpec brand.
5. Manage all aspects of franchisee compliance and the contract renewal process.
6. Instrumental in planning conventions, training, and franchise meetings.
7. Oversee the Franchise Advisory Committee activities.
8. Develop operational goals for the business unit which are aggressive, yet obtainable, and tied to long-term goals of the company.
9. Monitor division performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.
10. Ensure adherence to annual budgets.
11. Build an organizational culture in which passion for continuous improvement is innate.
12. Shape and develop division strategy and organization. Ensure proper report structure with divisions and departments.
13. Identify opportunities and areas for improvement within each division.
14. Advise the President on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues that relate and impact the operations of the company.
15. Inform the President about business activities, performance, opportunities, and recommended courses of action.
16. Lead managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company's overall strategy.
17. Determine resource allocation among divisions.
18. Challenge basic assumptions underlying each division's operations.
19. Set performance goals tailored to each division and act as a sounding board for division heads.

Education and Experience Requirements
• Related Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
• 10+ years management experience in a service industry.
• P&L experience in a multi-million dollar operation.
• Experience as middle manager coaching frontline managers.
• Experience managing a sales force.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of strategic business operations

• Knowledge of franchise business operations
• Knowledge of the service industry best practices
• Knowledge of general home construction, building techniques, and home inspection practices.
• Financial acumen
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
• Influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills
• Change management
