Veterinarian – Palm Springs, CA

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join a team of passionate doctors as a veterinarian. Our client is an animal welfare organization and small animal hospital in Palm Springs, California. This position will practice small animal veterinary medicine on dogs and cats and will help lead the organization’s Veterinary Education and Externship Training programs. The facility includes up-to-date diagnostic and surgical equipment including digital dental and general radiology, in house CBC and Chemistry, and paperless medical record keeping.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Providing daily, primary veterinarian services for small animals.
• Directing the development and implementation of programs offering intern and extern opportunities to Veterinary students.
• Creating a training program that brings in experts within the field to educate, instruct, and coach staff on cutting edge veterinary practices.
• Partner with Humane Education Supervisor on curriculum updates for Education Programs.

Qualifications:

• DEA license and APHIS certification.
• 1-3 years leading the development, implementation, and management of veterinary training programs.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of veterinary clinic procedures and practices.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Working knowledge of computers, preferably MS Office suite.
