Our Houston team is hiring! We are seeking a Document Controller for support on an international joint venture EPCM Offshore Project in the Gulf of Mexico. This exciting and complex project will require someone with extensive project document and information management experience on large scale, multi-billion-dollar programs, Offshore Platform Project experience is additionally preferable. The role is based out of our client's office inDowntown Houston, TX with regular international travel expected monthly (as needed). Bilingual verbal, reading and written skills in Spanish and English is additionally preferable. The role will report to the Document Control Manager for functional support and the Project Controls Manager for project specific requirements.

How will you contribute to the team?
  • Establish comprehensive document controls that support project collaboration in a complex organizational structure
  • Ensure document quality and compliance within established policy and procedural framework
  • Drive utilization of approved EDMS and other solutions approved for use on the Project
  • Collaborate with contractors and 3rd party suppliers to ensure all relevant documentation is produced and supplied in compliance with established document control requirements
  • Facilitate document translation activities as required
  • Service excellence in support of the client, project team members, and other stakeholders
  • Support Project Director and Project Controls Manager in meetings with Project Stakeholders as required
  • Monitor QA/QC of document and information - formatting, taxonomy, classification, organization, versioning, etc.
  • Facilitate document translation activities as required
  • Report performance on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis as required
  • Provide an interface to IT support for Document Control issues, which include process enhancements to existing software, developing recommendations for new hardware and/or software that may benefit the Document Control environment
  • Support Document Control Manager in driving consistent implementation and procedural applications of standard project document control practices
  • Other document control activities as required
What will you contribute?
  • Associated Degree and/or minimum 10 years of Document Control / Information Management experience
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with standard Office 365 desktop applications
  • Administrative Level skillset with collaboration focused programs such as Teams/SharePoint
  • Administrative Level skillset with EDMS applications such as Aconex
  • English oral & written communication skills are required
  • Spanish oral & written communication skills highly desired
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed (current passport, no restrictions, visa limitations, etc.)
  • Skilled motivator, communicating with and instructing/training others
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and lead in a complex project organizational structure to produce results
