Are you ready to lead the charge in the fastest-growing sport in America? Join Genesis Health Clubs, the largest sole-owner health club chain in the U.S., with 80 state-of-the-art fitness clubs. We're already one of the top three tennis companies in the country, and now we're adding pickleball to our impressive lineup. We're looking for a passionate and dynamic Director of Pickleball Operations to elevate our pickleball programs to national prominence. With 28 courts across three facilities in Wichita, KS, this is your chance to shape the future of pickleball and create unforgettable experiences for our members.
Position Summary:
As the Director of Pickleball Operations, you'll oversee all on-court pickleball activities and key business initiatives. You'll plan, implement, and monitor our pickleball programs, ensuring optimal court utilization and member satisfaction. You'll work closely with the National Tennis Director and Director of Operations and Sales to drive success and innovation.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive pickleball program, including leagues, open play, and special events.
- Create engaging and inclusive leagues for all skill levels, fostering community and competition.
- Plan and optimize court schedules, ensuring maximum utilization and member enjoyment.
- Innovate new programs and initiatives to enhance our offerings and profitability.
- Master our online scheduling platform, run reports, and collaborate effectively with the National Tennis Director.
- Suggest and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness and membership.
- Engage with the local pickleball community, both in-person and online, to promote our facilities and programs.
- Act as a Genesis Health Clubs Brand Ambassador at tournaments and events.
- Provide top-notch customer service, getting to know our members and anticipating their needs.
- Lead with strategic vision and strong leadership, attending weekly management meetings and ensuring our programs align with the company's mission.
What You'll Bring:
- At least 2 years of experience as a program director with a focus on growth and revenue.
- Strong management, leadership, and business skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
- High level of pickleball experience, both playing and coaching.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in management, human services, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to view a computer screen and utilize a keyboard. Prolonged periods of walking, standing, kneeling, and bending as required.
