A local and well-respected hospital is seeking and experienced Nurse Director to work at a 250-bed hospital in Central Washington. The Nurse Director will lead and oversee three inpatient nursing units: 49 bed Medical Surgical Unit, 50 bed Observation Unit and Post-Operative Unit. The MedSurg Inpatient Nurse Director will report to the ACNO.
The MedSurg Inpatient Nurse Director will work with three Nurse Managers and 150 employees that equate to 132 FTEs. The Nurse Managers’ experience ranges from experience and well tenured to newer and requiring mentorship. The Chief Nursing Officer and ACNO are looking for a Medical Surgical Nurse Director that can improve the staff’s adherence to fundamental nursing practices and increase staff morale. The Nurse Director will work on change the culture back to an empathetic culture and reinvigorate the staff.
This acute care hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and offers comprehensive patients care services including an Emergency Dept that sees ~90,000 patients annually. Other patient services include: Robotic Surgical Services, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Family Birth Center, NICU, Palliative Care, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Stroke Care, Intensive Care Unit, and more.
The Nurse Director working with these busy inpatient units will be supported by senior hospital leadership that is eager to implement change, provide staff with education, and groom the next generation of hospital leaders.
