Manpower Engineering is seeking a Process Engineer, preferrably with background in machining/finishing/CNC for our client in Glasgow, KY. Direct hire position offering career growth/upward mobility. Come work for a world-class, environmentally-conscious, global company.

Summary of what you'd be doing:

  • Create and maintain all Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis documentation for product within responsibility.
  • At a minimum conduct annual (Risk Priority Numbers) RPN reduction reviews for all current programs.
  • Improve linkage between Improvement Plans, PFMEA, Control Plan and Operator work instructions.
  • Perform as a liaison between the production departments regarding the activities of process monitoring and control.
  • Analyze both internal and external non-conforming products to define the root cause of defects and propose and implement the necessary corrective and/or preventive actions for product within responsibilities.
  • Analyze the actual manufacturing process to find areas of opportunities for the continuous improvement of the process in terms of quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Perform and or coordinate the activities for the process preliminary capability studies during the production of PPAP parts.
  • Monitor ongoing process performances of products within responsibilities. Responsible for performing process audits within operations to assess compliance with the work instructions.
  • Responsible for creating, updating, and controlling the process sheets, and required to approve all work instructions related to the production process.
  • Responsible for issuing tests for corrective and/or preventative actions, new material trials, continuous improvements, and analyzing the results
  • Responsible for analyzing machine tool life and capability data to look for optimal performance.
  • Responsible for analyzing air decay equipment reliability and capability data to look for optimal performance.
  • Responsible for analyzing auxiliary equipment (dowel pin, plug, etc.) and capability data to look for optimal performance.

Here's a summary of who we're seeking:

  • Engineering degree
  • Process Engineering experience, preferrably with CNC/machining environment experience/knowledge
  • Experience using problem solving techniques
