US-New York, NY (3 Park), US-Washington, DC (700 6th)

As a member of TransPerfect Staffing Solutions, the Senior Recruiter will focus on all stages of the recruiting process for contract legal placement, primarily but not exclusively for document review and litigation support positions. Duties will include interviewing, checking references, and extending offers for new contract legal hires specific to document review and litigation support, as well as advertising positions and maintaining a candidate database.  The Legal Recruiter will also assist with the on-boarding of legal staffing projects.  A successful person in this role will have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the staffing and legal recruiting industry. 


  • Develop understanding of current client hiring needs to meet expectations 
  • Build and update extensive candidate database 
  • Develop creative methods of advertising positions in order to find the most appropriate candidates
  • Build, maintain, and develop strong relationships with both candidates and clients

About You:

Your experience includes:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in contract legal recruiting 
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Extremely organized and detailed oriented
  • Experience managing a team preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand client needs and take active measures to solve problems
  • Ability to develop creative strategies and solutions to meet client expectations
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 

Desired Skills:

  • JD strongly preferred
  • Experience in document review or general litigation support
