A simple and intuitive experience is integral to the Surest member experience. From onboarding through in-app service experiences, the Digital Consumer Product Manager will help design and enhance an industry-leading digital experience for our members. This role will establish and drive the Surest product roadmap for the capabilities needed to operate the Surest plan while collaborating with member service to create a robust in-app service experience which integrates seamlessly across chat, in-app, email, and call.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Enhance the digital onboarding process to help consumers be successful as Surest members

  • Develop the capabilities, tools and integrations needed to enable an in-app service experience for Surest members and prompt the timely, productive interactions with our members

  • Build a roadmap with clearly defined milestones, dependencies, and success metrics

  • Partner with Technology teams to contribute to continuous product and technical improvement process

  • Work with peers across Surest to ensure capability and process alignment

  • Communicate and coordinate tool and process updates with Product and Operational Partners

  • Drive Agile development practices, including writing user stories and prioritizing the product backlog

  • Define, measure, and analyze product performance to solve issues, improve efficiency, and increase automation

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 3+ years of digital consumer product management or product owner experience 

  • 3+ years of working in the Agile Development Framework

  • 3+ years of analytical and problem-solving experience

  • 3+ years of improving and evolving the current state of product design, development, and operations

  • 3+ years of experience guiding and influencing cross-functional teams  

  • 3+ years of strong communication skills with the ability to interact and influence across diverse groups of technical and non-technical business partners





Preferred Qualifications:




  • Advanced degree

  • Experience with leading design and development of a technology product that serves the health industry

  • Experience with working in a continuous delivery/DevOps model

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean practices e.g., developing Lean experiments

  • Proven ability to adapt styles to the objective at hand - knowing when to apply pressure, knowing when to compromise to keep development moving forward

  • Demonstrated attention to detail

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
