Customer Service Representative

Job Purpose

In this position, you’re the first point of customer contact over the phone for general inquiries like pricing, products, scheduling etc. Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquires. You provide an important first impression for Miele to Direct Sellers, customers, and potential customers.  Builds and maintain business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service so as to promote customer loyalty.

Essential Functions

  • Answer a middle to high volume of inbound phone calls (50 -60 per day) from consumers, sales personnel and architects.
  • Troubleshoot the care and use of Miele appliances using operation manuals, product specification sheets, and assorted tools over the phone.
  • Facilitate resolutions for customer’s issues and log the information into the customer account.
  • Develop and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and customer relations.
  • Handle other calls associated with our business, i.e. parts availability, parts pricing, on-line store orders, and processing of service contracts
  • Help Technicians and Service Managers by gathering information they require to perform their duties.
  • Research and answer any installation or product specification questions our sales teams, dealers, and customers may have.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints without the need for supervisor intervention.

Qualifications

  • Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Must be a self-motivated, customer oriented person with good communication skills
  • Ability to Work Independently with Minimal Instruction
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, Miele’s core principles and mission statement
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work professionally with colleagues and be a team player
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
  • User level experience with Microsoft Office software
  • 6 months customer service experience and/or training (preferred).
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Accurate Typing and Computation Skills
  • Excellent Command of the English Language
  • Ability to Work Independently with Minimal Instruction
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules and operation manuals
  • Experience working with CRM business software
  • Understanding of basic plumbing and electrical skills (Preferred, not required)
  • Understanding of basic domestic skills including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and technical training or applicable work related experience
