Our Client, a growing privately held leader in their industry is adding to thier leadership team and has a need for a Director of Supply Chain!!!
Below is an overview of this exciting role!
Supplier development and selection both national and international
Manage the purchasing department
Manage 2 site distribution teams
Manage production planning team
Develops/manages the major suppliers under them using metrics or supplier scorecard (Quality PPM,Lead-time, capacity, inventory and YOY cost improvement)
Using Sales and Operations Planning and good communication to ensure on time delivery to manufacturing and distribution for our customers
Maintains updated parts and vendor master along with any other relevant database for the items they are responsible
Communicates/elevates issues as need to stakeholders.
Work with vendors to resolve any gap in availability,capacity, quality and cost.
Supports New Product Development Other projects as assigned
Vendor Delivery Schedule output where needed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
BA or BS or equivalent experience
10 years of experience
Lean Manuafacturing experience
Knowledge of Kanban as a supplier planning tool
Knowledge of PFEP ( Plan for EveryPart) process
Worked in a company that uses Sales and Operations Planning to drive supply
International supply chain
Intermediate or hiigher Excel, Access, and Word
Demand to Supplier supply chain processes
Ability to Multi-task
Abillity to communicate and work with others
Ability to work in a timely fashion.
