Position Summary

To manage the clinical care operations of an MFA practice group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities   

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages the clinical care operations of an MFA practice group in conjunction with the MFA Practice Group Administrator.

  • Oversees staff utilization, scheduling, and productivity.

  • Reviews and screens all non-physician clinical staff and recommends hire/salary actions to the MFA Group Practice Administrator; evaluates the performance of all non-physician clinical staff, counsels staff as appropriate, and recommends appropriate actions to include disciplinary actions to the MFA practice group are met.

  • Supports physician and patient needs by assuring that the clinical goals and objectives of the MFA practice group are met.

  • Develops and implements ongoing training and education programs for all non-physician clinical support staff.

  • Develops, in collaboration with the MFA Practice Group Administrator, clinical policies and procedures of the practice group.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors Quality Improvement and Customer service initiatives.

  • Oversees the scheduling of patients in order to assure the optimal use of clinical resources; monitors assess and service levels to determine trends and recommends appropriate action.

  • Maintains responsibility for the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.

  • Collaborates, as appropriate, with other group practice senior staff members.



  • A Master’s degree in nursing is necessary


  • Four years of nursing experience is necessary to include at least two years of clinical management/supervisory experience (preferable in an ambulatory care setting), is necessary. 
  • Current District of Columbia licensure as a Registered Nurse, or evidence of application for D.C. licensure and current out-of-state license, is necessary.
