Robert Half Finance is looking for an experienced Collections Specialist with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. Based in the Sunnyvale, California region, this full-time role is a great opportunity for a Collections Specialist. Your responsibilities - Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries - Process bankruptcy filings in the correct manner when received - Manage all billing and reporting activities in line with deadlines - Maintain and update customer files to sustain data integrity - Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment - Take care of inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence - Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations - Register all customer payments to the correct reports - Ensure payments are processed

Job Requirements

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred - Excellent verbal, written, and social skills - 1+ years of prior high volume collections experience - Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired - Ability to analyze customer accounts and make decisions based on those analyses - Command of medical collections - Comprehensive knowledge of data entry
