What does a Sales Consultant do? 

Sales consultants will be responsible for educating customers and evaluating customers’ home security needs and creating custom alarm packages for them. 

Each month, we will provide you with company-generated leads with most leads coming from customers’ requesting appointments. You will be expected to make presentations in homes to close these leads. You also must be able to self-generate leads and sales. Training and proven success on how to accomplish this will be provided. You will be rewarded with additional generous commission compensation for these sales. With our extensive catalog of equipment for sale, Slomin’s
has a solution for every home, offering our sales consultants numerous ways to make money while helping homeowners safeguard their families and their homes.

A Good Idea Gets Started
In 1923, Jacob Slomin opened a small general store in Massapequa, New York. From the beginning, Jacob's goal was to help people in that growing community while building a better future for his family.

Back then, buying kerosene for light and heat meant hauling it back to your house from the general store. Jacob had the idea to deliver it right to customers' doors, like ice or milk. Customers responded by flooding Slomin's with orders - and our reputation in home comfort began.

A Family Business
When he was old enough, Raymond, Jacob's son, began working in the store and helped out with whatever needed to be done. He learned every aspect of serving Slomin's customers, and eventually joined his father working full-time in the company, thus making the company motto - "Your Comfort Is Our Business" - a family tradition.

As time passed, our business expanded into other services for homeowners, including heating oil, heating equipment service and installation, air conditioning, and other services. Alarms and home security has been a Slomin's hallmark since 1981.

While other companies have grown mostly by buying up lots of other companies, we're proud that Slomin's has become what we are today primarily by new customers finding us and choosing us.

Today, Slomin's has become one of the largest family-owned businesses in America - thanks to our tradition of satisfying customers.
