Job Description:

Bank of America Global Leasing (“BAL”) is the largest U.S. bank owned leasing company, and a leading global asset finance firm.  BAL provides customized leasing and equipment finance solutions to customers, clients and prospects of Bank of America worldwide.  BAL has operations in North America, as well as, in APAC and EMEA headquartered in Hong Kong and London.  The successful Candidate will support BAL’s Renewable Energy Finance (“REF”) team in the U.S., as well as, other BAL business units. REF is a leading capital provider to the U.S wind and solar industry.  

Responsibilities

  • Transaction structuring, documentation and negotiation including financing, partnership and project agreements

  • Selecting and managing outside counsel including deal, local, energy regulatory and other counsel, as required

  • Providing legal advice and counsel to REF senior management and deal teams

  • Monitoring applicable laws, rules and regulations including OCC requirements

Required Skills & Experiences

  • JD or equivalent with Bar Admission in good standing

  • Ideal candidate with have at least 6+ years’ experience in project finance or secured lending; with experience in renewable energy project finance representing lenders/investors in tax equity, construction and other financing transactions preferred, as well as, experience supporting related portfolio/asset management matters

  • Prior in-house experience at a bank, leasing company or other financial institution a strong plus

  • Strong academic credentials

  • Ability to balance risk and reward in a manner consistent with Bank of America’s risk framework
