Senior Functional Analyst

Logistics and program support to Naval Air Systems Command's Program Office (PMA-231). Performs and coordinates detailed analysis and appraisal of the E-2C aircraft Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for Japan supporting the Program Manager and Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML) for aircraft hardware equipment and services. Provide effective logistics sustainment support in all logistics elements including, but not limited to planning, supply support, support/test equipment. Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, and maintenance and/or repair activities.


1. Reviews/prepares acquisition documentation (SOW, PWS, technical evaluations) to ensure effective and efficient support for services, products, equipment, and/or systems specific to E-2C aircraft, aircraft upgrades and associated systems. Responsible for supporting program analysis efforts, including technical research, coordination of reports and development of program monitoring systems. Tracks the implementation of corrective actions and milestone accomplishment, and evaluates progress on a continuing basis. Reviews/prepares acquisition documentation to ensure effective and efficient support for services, products, equipment, and/or systems specific to E-2C aircraft, aircraft upgrades and associated systems. Supports planning and scheduling of customer required aircraft upgrades and modifications.

2. Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.

3. Tracks action items, analyzes issues and recommends actions to resolve and supports team administrative processes;

5. Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, and maintenance and/or repair activities.
6. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

7. Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, and maintenance and/or repair activities.

9.  Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. 

10.  Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. 

11.  Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times. 

12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 

13.  Participates in special projects as required.
