Kforce has a client in search of a Client Service Associate/Receptionist in Lafayette, Indiana (IN). Summary: This person will be responsible for providing administrative support. Currently, this branch only consists of 1 Financial Advisor and no support staff. Therefore, it will just be the financial advisor and this contractor working out of this branch. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and with minimal supervisor as the FA will frequently be out of the office on client meetings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Main responsibilities will include job duties of a Client Service Associate; However, they will also be responsible for managing the front desk area, answering the branch's main line, and general administrative support
  • Interacts daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients including handling basic inquiries
  • Researches client and security information through the back-office system
  • Processes and follows up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts
  • Prepares letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients
  • Creates and maintains records and files
  • Ensures required client paperwork is current with firm and industry requirements, rules and regulations
  • Maintains databases and creates reports using portfolio software programs
  • Assists Financial Advisors with marketing efforts including seminars, etc.
  • Receives and processes securities
  • Receives cross-training and assists with other operational functions as required
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of administrative or client support experience; Ideally someone who has been an Office Manager/Office Assistant or has been in a role where they've worn many hats
  • Experience within the financial services industry is a big plus
  • Fluent user with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook. Must have basic Excel skills
  • Strong data entry skills lease; All candidates must take a data entry test before submitting their resume in Wand; Candidates must score at least 7500 keystrokes per hour with at least 90% accuracy; Include data entry scores on resume
  • Must be comfortable working in a very small office
  • Must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to wear many hats
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
