ECS is seeking a Medical Records Technician to work in our St. Louis, MO office.
*Able to support, organize, and manage health information data to ensure its quality, accuracy, and security in both paper and electronic systems.
*Review patient records for timeliness, and to ensure reports are accurate and properly completed, and provide the appropriate data as required.
*Support data analysis using Microsoft tools such as (MS) Access and Excel for data collection, storage, retrieval, and reporting.
*Protect patients' health information in accordance to all HIPAA, physical, and cyber security rules.
*Contribute input to update website for FAQs and content.
*Provide a detailed daily report of all work performed, information received, and tasks completed.
*Must be articulate with both written and verbal communications.
*Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to detect, document and correct issues or errors.
*Individuals be competent using all software within Microsoft Office suite.
*Must be able to provide assistance with physically handling the receipt of and the processing of boxes containing patient records. (if this means they must be able to pick up 50 pound boxes then I would list it as a must be able to life 50 poound boxes.)
*Reviewing and supporting client reports and other informational documentation.
*BS or BA in area of Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
*Or Associate Degree in Business area and 2 yrs of record experience
*Or minimum of 4 yrs experience in a medical records, OR, military health field.
*Active Secret Clearance
