CNC Mill Machinist- Day Shift, Growth Opp., Incentives

Shields experienced growth in the fourth quarter of 2023 and we have an immediate opportunity for a CNC Mill Machinist on the Day shift.

Day shift is Monday through Thursday 6a-430p.

These team members will carry out a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

CNC Mill Machinist (Levels 1-3) - CNC Mill Machinist

• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Starts and observes machine operation
• Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors
• Process offset changes unassisted
• Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Verify conformance of completed work
• Working on Vertical Mills, Haas and Brother Machines...multiple machines at a time.

Requirements:

• Extensive machine shop/metal working skills
• Possesses the ability to work with decimals
• Comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths)
• Ability to set up your own jobs and run first part
• Ability to adjust programs if required
