Project Manager (Reference Laboratories)

IDEXX is growing rapidly and is looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager to support the global Reference Labs PMO. In this role, you will oversee and manage high visibility projects, including a focus on implementation of new transformative diagnostic testing technology, and cutting-edge instrumentation while working closely with our global lab operations teams. Your role will include scope definition, creation and communication of end-to-end project plans, clearly outlined dependencies and roles, as well as risk assessment and escalation of issues to ensure successful project completion.

What you can expect
  • You will lead project teams to advance complex project/work plans across multiple dependencies.
  • You will collaborate on strategic initiatives and help balance resources across projects.
  • You will have the opportunity to own highly visible projects as part of a collaborative team.
  • You will be responsible to present your project to senior executives and stakeholders within the company
  • You will continuously track and follow up on the different efforts and tasks, rigorously manage the scope, and prepare various analyses as needed to highlight issues, resolve questions and identify areas of risk.


What You Will Need to Succeed
  • You have a background in a healthcare or scientific environment and an interest in bringing innovative solutions to veterinary health care.
  • You are agile, a fast learner, and have the ability to understand complex problems and help drive successful and exciting change within our fast-paced Reference Labs.
  • You facilitate collaboration, encourage others to share their ideas and input, and are a good listener.
  • You are comfortable leading without authority and make good and timely decisions to keep your project moving forward.
  • You bring a proven track record of good work ethic and are self-driven. You have superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed, or distracted easily.
  • You can lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams and can manage customer expectations
  • You get things done, you have experience and knowledge of project management, with working knowledge of PM lifecycle processes, including both agile and waterfall.
  • You understand the impact of a highly satisfied, excited team; you like to be methodical when working through issues.
  • You've proven to be organized with excellent communications and stakeholder management skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities. You are analytically oriented. You have good judgment and decision- making skills.
  • You are resilient in the face of a dynamic and changing reference lab environment. You have a strong sense of project strategic goals and are persistent in communication and alignment with your project team and leaders.
  • You drive results in a big way and can get things done in a highly matrixed and relationship-based organization. You feel comfortable building networks across the organization through various levels of leadership, team members and our customers.


Work environment
  • Work virtually or in an office environment (IDEXX is flexible)
  • Travel within the country/internationally up to 25% of the time may be required
