Our client is seeking someone that can help manage and oversee on-air operations, by giving directions and guidance where it is needed.
Our client is a well known television production company.
Oversee and have reliability within a fast moving, multi-channel on-air environment, must maintain a nearly 100% availability when being on-air, and being open through all channels.
Lead a team of Operators; provide clear direction and guidance for the execution of all master control functions including commercial integration, manipulations and edits to the on-air playlists, and live-event execution
Become a leader of Operators, while providing clear directions and guiding across all master control functions, including and manipulating commercials, edits on playlist.
Develop a full understanding and comprehension of operations technical and on-air systems
Be able to resolve issues in a quick and effective manner.
Manage and control events on and off air, and be able to handle certain situations in a tense and fast moving environment
Actively participate in the operation's change control procedures by approving and maintaining awareness of all on-air maintenance's and by managing critical components of maintenance operating procedures
Assume transmission responsibilities as needed, including monitoring of up-links and booking and QCing occasional remotes
BA/BS in a related field or equivalent work experience
2+ years experience within a broadcasting operations environment
3+ years working in a leadership role, specifically within a fast moving/paced environment, being able to overcome obstacles/troubleshooting, and quick in adapting to change
Thorough understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements
A well developed understanding of television production, specifically broadcasting operating, within sports or news/entertainment, as well as technical production
Technological curiosity and an improvement-oriented approach
Unwavering composure in high-pressure situations
History of meeting and hitting deadlines
Needs to be very detail oriented
Great interpersonal communication skills
Must have a means of commuting to and out of Centennial, CO
Must have unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be willing and available to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays in order to meet the needs of a 24/7 operation
