Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is looking for a motivated full-time Administrative Assistant for the Emergency Department. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Emergency Department and ensuring that accountable deadlines are met in a timely and professional manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives telephone calls and handles general inquires in a professional and courtesy manner. Takes complete messages with the accurate date, time, name, number, and information to determine the nature of the call and prioritization.

Maintains assigned calendar(s). Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, and WebEx/conference calls, special events, appointments for ED Director, and other leaders.

Must timely inform the appropriate individuals of schedule changes prior to meeting or appointment.

Performs data entry tasks for the Emergency Department which may include preparing complicated documents, accessing information for reports, and maintaining databases.

Must pay strong attention to detail while preparing meeting minutes, forms, reports, and correspondence.

Maintains department record systems to uphold accurate files.

Independently prepares, with the review and approval of management, computer-generated PowerPoints or handouts for the department.

Assists with the preparation and maintenance of department organizational charts and policy and procedures.

Maintain office supply inventory and ensure efficient utilization of resources.

Must have the ability to independently manage time effectively and prioritize daily tasks to minimize incidental overtime.

Initiates services calls for office equipment and monitors required maintenance or repairs to reduce the availability of the equipment for department use.

Assist with department payroll and financial records.

Facilitate effective and clear communication between departments.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS: Minimum 2 years working in an Administrative Assistant role preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job tasks. Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
Ability to effectively communicate in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Exhibits organizational and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite and other company specific programs.
Possesses excellent customer service skills
Ability to operate basic office equipment.
Demonstrates ability to with little to no supervision and within a team setting.
